Soho has always had a long tradition of American influence. From infestation of Jazz in its hallowed venues, to its vaudeville coat and its underworld trousers. Hell it even has a direct line to Hollywood through its film production offices. It’s a thin thread but it is the best one to describe why a moccasin inspired boot popular in America should wind up in a collection dedicated to Soho. A lot of my casual geezer friends consider the moccasin shoe construction to be the only suitable shoe construction for a true casual geezer. For those friends of mine I thought I would take some high shine Jermyn Streetesque leather and invite them to the party. And seeing as Soho didn’t get under my skin until the mid eighties when the Pet Shop Boys were singing about West End Boys. The height of chic for your discerning casual geezer around that time was a pair of Italian or French mocc fronts by Sisely or Paraboots from Nik Naks, scoped in a well thumbed copy of Per Lui. Aaah good times !! They are named after Peter Cooke who strode the line between establishment and satirically casual better than anyone ever.
All returns for any particular order need to be returned in one shipment and within 14 days of online purchase. Returns will be charged at the following rates, per box: UK - £5, EU - £10, Rest of the World - £20. Any subsequent returns from the same order will incur additional shipping costs. Please contact customerservices@mrhare.com to obtain a returns number and pay for delivery in order to proceed with your return. Our courier service, ILG Direct will contact you to organise a collection. The returns number should be written on your original invoice and on the airway bill or return-shipping label you are provided by the courier. We request that returns are shipped through our courier ILG Direct. MHL is not liable for any returned goods which are not returned in this way. Failure to obtain a returns number or return goods using ILG Direct does not affect your statutory rights.
MHL will not accept returns for any non-faulty items that have been worn and are creased and/or scratched in any way. Upon receipt of an order, if any item has been received in the conditions mentioned, customer should notify us (by phone or email) on the same day if they wish to return. We strongly advise all customers to check products thoroughly upon delivery before removing any attached tags and before disposing of any original packaging.
Please be aware that shoes must be returned with their original designer packaging. Shoes returned without their original boxes will not be accepted.
Please be aware that international customs duties and sales taxes are NOT refunded for shipments outside the European Community (EU).
Should you wish to exchange an item for an alternative size, please email us when you request your returns number and we will reserve it for you if the item is in stock. As soon as we receive your return, we will dispatch your new size to you after the goods have undergone a quality control check.
If you are located outside the EU you will be required to pay additional taxes and duties on the replacement item.
